Product Overview
Seamless, hard, waterproof,
chemical-resistant polyurea elastomer providing up to 480% elongation. Its
slicker, harder counterpart, ARMA 960, provides exceptional
abrasion-resistance.
Product Description
Arma 901 is a state of the art, 100% solids, high
performance sprayed plural component polyurea elastomer, and Arma 960 is its
harder counterpart. These systems are based on amine-terminated polyether
resins, amine chain extenders and isocyanates. Each provides a flexible,
extremely tough monolithic membrane with excellent water, chemical, and abrasion
resistance.
Polyurea Formulation
Polyurea spray elastomer systems are 100% solids, two-component spray
systems which have extremely fast reactivates and cure limits. This technology
is similar to the high performance polyurethane systems currently used, except
for several key points.
In the polyurea elastomer
technology, JEFFAMINE polyoxyalkylene diamines and triamines have replaced the
polyols, amino chain extenders are utilized, and catalysts have been eliminated.
This improved chemical formulation
allows Arma 901/960 to cure on cold surfaces and provides superior performance
under extremely humid conditions.
Features
- Arma 901/960 are seamless
membranes that can be handled and walked on within 30 seconds of the time they
are sprayed.
- Product flexibility is a
tremendous advantage of Arma 901. Arma 901/200 stretches to 200% of its original
size without any adhesion loss. Arma 901/480 stretches to an amazing 480% of its
original size.
- Arma 960 boasts exceptional
abrasion resistance providing a seamless, slick, impact-resistant protective
surface.
- Unlike most polyurethanes and
epoxies, Arma 901/960 are hydrophobic and therefore affected very little by damp
or cold surfaces. Each can be sprayed directly on moist surfaces, and have been
sprayed at -40°F/C with minimal effect on tack free time.
- Due to their almost instantaneous
gel time, Arma 901/960 can be built up to any thickness in one application,
including vertical and overhead surfaces, which eliminates the need for
multi-coat applications.
- Each coating is 100 % solids. No solvents, no V.O.C.'s.
- Arma 901/960 have high temperature
stability with a working temperature of up to 121°C (250°F), and intermittent
temperatures up to 177°C (350°F).
- These products are formulated
without the use of catalysts. This increases shelf life of the liquids in the
drums as well as enhancing color and light stability in the finished product.
- Approved: UL94-94 Horizontal Burn Test.
